Security doors and screens for the whole Cairns region
Family owned, operated and manufactured here in Cairns. We measure at the house, build to the opening, and fit anywhere from the northern beaches through the city suburbs and south to Gordonvale.
Cairns is a long, thin region. It runs from the beaches at the top, down through the suburbs behind the airport, into the city, and out to the southern edge at Gordonvale. A house at Machans Beach sits at a river mouth in salt spray; a house at Redlynch sits inland behind the range. The screen that suits one is not automatically the screen that suits the other, which is why we measure on site rather than quote off a plan.
The beaches, the city and the southern suburbs
The northern beaches are where the coastal exposure is most direct. Machans Beach sits at the mouth of the Barron River with Redden Creek as a second outlet, Holloways Beach has Thomatis Creek running through it as a Barron distributary, and Yorkeys Knob has the beach on one side and marina berths on the other. Clifton Beach is the northernmost, backed by the Macalister Range escarpment and fronted by the Coral Sea. Cairns North fronts Trinity Bay along The Esplanade, which is why that page deals with unit entries and body corporate approval rather than only front doors. What we make, and what we fix
There are four ranges: SCREENGUARD woven 316 marine grade stainless mesh, Diamond Grille as the cost effective option, PERFGUARD perforated aluminium at 2 mm with 40 percent view through, and Colonial Casting decorative panels for a front entry or an enclosed patio. Flyscreens run fibreglass mesh as standard, or pet mesh where there are animals. Not every job is a new screen, though. Locks, wheels, tracks, closers, hinges, triple locks and patio bolts are all replaceable on site, and a pet door can go into a screen you already own.

Every door and screen is made to measure in Cairns rather than supplied in a stock size. Our QBCC licence number is published so you can verify it on the public register before you buy.

- SCREENGUARD states its stainless steel mesh screens pass dynamic impact, knife shear, anti-jemmy, and pull and probe testing. PERFGUARD adds a probe test, with hinged and sliding doors tested using three point locking hardware.
- 10 Year Manufacturer's Warranty
- SCREENGUARD products carry a full 10 year manufacturer's warranty. Regular maintenance with SCREENGUARD Powawash is required to comply.
