The mangrove line is the useful thing to look at in Holloways Beach. Thomatis Creek runs inside the locality and is mangrove lined, and a Terrain NRM revegetation site beside it is described as about two kilometres from the ocean. The Queensland Government's own description of mangroves is that they colonise the ground between sea and land that tides inundate, usually around mean high water. So where the mangroves grow is a reasonable indication of how far the salt water gets, and that is a different question from how far your house is from the sand. It is the question worth settling before you choose a mesh, a frame and a set of door hardware.

Why security doors matters in Holloways Beach

Holloways Beach is a delta suburb before it is a beach suburb. The gazetted locality carries Holloways Beach, Thomatis Creek, Barr Creek and Richter Creek within it, sitting between Barr Creek toward Machans Beach and Richter Creek toward Yorkeys Knob, with the Captain Cook Highway along the back. It is a small locality with tidal water on more than one side of it.

The practical version is short. The Australian Stainless Steel Development Association holds that grade 316, or a grade of equivalent corrosion resistance, should be selected as a minimum near the surf, and that residues and salt deposits should be regularly washed off stainless steel. Assume yes. What is one way vision mesh?

DVA one way vision mesh lets you see out while reducing visibility into your house from outside. It is a privacy mesh rather than a security product on its own, so it is usually combined with a Diamond Grille or Colonial Casting security screen when you want privacy and security in the same door or window.

Can you fit a pet door to my security door?

Yes, though there is a trade-off worth knowing first. Industry guidance from the National Security Screen Association is that cutting a pet door into a security door voids its compliance, because the door is no longer the product that was tested.
